At BFS Fleet Service, we’re looking for a Heavy Duty Service Advisor who takes ownership of that entire process.
We are a family-owned commercial fleet repair business serving Western New York for more than 30 years. Our expanded 30,000-square-foot facility with 26 service lifts reflects our continued investment in our people, equipment, technology, and future.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage commercial fleet repair orders from the initial customer conversation through completion and invoicing.
- Prepare accurate estimates, clearly explain repair recommendations, and obtain documented customer or fleet-management approvals.
- Coordinate with technicians and shop leadership on repair priorities, job status, and completion expectations.
- Proactively update customers on progress, estimate changes, and delays-before they have to call for an update.
- Track outstanding estimates, approvals, and open repair orders, taking action to prevent avoidable delays.
- Recommend preventive maintenance and needed repairs that support vehicle reliability and reduce customer downtime.
- Maintain complete, accurate repair order documentation, including customer concerns, approved work, and technician findings.
- Review completed repair orders for accuracy and communicate clearly with customers at delivery.
What You Bring:
- At least three years of service advisor or service writer experience.
- Heavy-duty truck, diesel, fleet maintenance, or commercial vehicle experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical understanding and the ability to explain repairs clearly.
- A reliable system for managing multiple repair orders, priorities, and follow-up commitments.
- Professional communication skills with customers, technicians, and coworkers.
- Confidence using shop management software and learning new systems.
- Sound judgment about when to resolve an issue independently and when to involve shop leadership.
- A valid driver’s license.
