BFS Fleet Service is looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our growing team.
We are not a small general repair shop trying to get into heavy-duty work. BFS is a 30,000-square-foot fleet repair facility with 36 service bays, 26 lifts, specialized equipment, experienced support staff, and a strong base of commercial fleet partners.
Our heavy-duty department works on a wide range of equipment, including medium- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, diesel-powered vehicles, vocational equipment, hydraulic systems, cranes, and specialized fleet vehicles.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in diagnosing vehicles correctly, completing quality repairs, and being part of a team that keeps our partners’ fleets on the road.
What You Will Do:
- Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Repair air brake, suspension, steering, electrical, cooling, and aftertreatment systems.
- Diagnose drivability, engine, and emissions-related concerns.
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Perform thorough digital vehicle inspections.
- Document findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly.
- Communicate with the shop foreman and service advisors.
- Follow BFS safety and quality-control procedures.
- Help identify additional safety and maintenance needs while the vehicle is in our shop.
The Right Person for BFS:
The right technician does more than replace parts. We are looking for someone who can inspect, diagnose, communicate, and complete repairs they are proud to stand behind.
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience repairing medium or heavy-duty trucks.
- Understand diesel, electrical, air brake, steering, and suspension systems.
- Can diagnose problems instead of relying on guesswork.
- Take pride in doing the job correctly the first time.
- Work well with foremen, advisors, and other technicians.
- Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Can document your findings and repairs clearly.
- Are dependable and take attendance seriously.
- Want to continue learning and improving your skills.
- Are looking for a stable, long-term opportunity.
A valid driver’s license is required. A CDL and applicable certifications are preferred but not required for the right candidate.
